Dharnath ki Palki (Chhabina)

Lord Shiv established himself in the form of Dharnath at Dhar. During the month of Shravan the procession or palki, also called as Chhabina by the locals, of Lord Shiva roams around the Dhar city with all pomp and show. People of dhar participate in the procession in large numbers to pay devotion to the Lord. District collector starts the procession by offering pooja and carrying the palki. Another important ritual of this occasion is, policemen offering guard of honour to Lord Dharnath during the sawari.
